The Halo program at Flyland

The meaning behind Halo

Some women continue struggling because they cannot see a safe path into care. Halo exists to help make that path clearer. We meet women in moments that may feel uncertain and illuminate the next steps towards their recovery and healing.

Our comprehensive approach to healing and recovery

Our levels of care

We offer care designed to support women throughout pregnancy while addressing substance use, mental health, and co-occurring conditions.

Our residential inpatient program provides 24-hour structured support for pregnant women who need a higher level of care for substance use, mental health, or co-occurring conditions. Patients live in a supportive treatment environment where they can focus fully on their health, recovery, and pregnancy while receiving individualized clinical care, medication management when appropriate, case management, pregnancy-focused programming, and coordination with prenatal and medical providers.

Rather than treating each condition separately, our co-occurring disorder program addresses the connection between emotional health, substance use, trauma, relationships, and pregnancy. Patients receive individualized therapy, psychiatric support, medication management when appropriate, recovery-focused services, case management, and coordinated prenatal care.

What does Halo focus on?

We focus on supporting the whole woman throughout pregnancy and recovery. Care addresses substance use, mental health, emotional wellness, trauma, relationships, physical well-being, and the unique changes that come with pregnancy.

Patient rooms promote rest and renewal. We offer both shared and private accommodations, allowing for privacy or supportive companionship as needed.

Every patient has access to a bedside tablet for recovery resources and facility services. Our executive chef leads the kitchen, providing nutritious, high-quality meals. Other amenities include an outdoor patio, daily housekeeping, and on-site laundry facilities. These services help patients maintain healthy routines during their stay.

What makes Halo different

The Halo Program combines trauma-informed support with practical preparation for life during and after treatment. Care also includes connections to appropriate medical and community resources, along with individualized aftercare planning to help each woman leave treatment with a clearer path forward and continued support in place.

We take a whole-person approach to treatment, recognizing that pregnancy, mental health, substance use, relationships, physical wellness, and life circumstances are deeply connected. Care is designed around the individual, not just a diagnosis, with support that addresses emotional well-being, recovery, medical needs, coping skills, practical challenges, and preparation for what comes next. By looking at the full picture, Halo helps each woman build greater stability and create a treatment plan that supports her during pregnancy and beyond.

Halo helps women prepare for what comes next by connecting them with resources that reflect their individual needs, circumstances, and decisions. This may include aftercare providers, community programs, transportation, housing support, parenting resources, infant supplies, prenatal and postpartum services, and other practical assistance. When a patient is unsure about parenting or decides that keeping the baby is not the right choice for her, Halo can also help connect her with appropriate, nonjudgmental resources to understand her options and make informed decisions. The goal is not to direct a woman toward one outcome, but to make sure she has access to reliable information, meaningful support, and a continued care plan built around the path she chooses.

Pregnancy-focused psychoeducation helps patients better understand the physical, emotional, and behavioral changes that can occur throughout pregnancy and recovery. Halo provides education around stress, mental health, substance use, healthy coping, relationships, prenatal wellness, and preparing for postpartum changes. The goal is to give women practical knowledge they can use to make informed decisions, recognize their needs, and feel more prepared for each stage of pregnancy, treatment, and life after care.
