As the Family Support Specialist at Flyland Recovery Network, Kelsey Gunning, MSW, creates a nurturing and informative environment for families while their loved ones are in treatment. With a passion for making a difference, Kelsey infuses her role with optimism, levity, and collaborative spirit to ensure that care extends beyond the walls of our facilities and carries throughout the family.
With over five years of experience in the industry, Kelsey has held various pivotal roles, including Intake Coordinator, Patient Care Specialist, Group Facilitator, Case Manager, and Primary Therapist. With a deep understanding of how treatment works for patients, Kelsey can connect with families and help them heal. Graduating summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a BSW in 2023, she continued her academic journey through FAU’s advanced standing program, obtaining her MSW a year later. Kelsey is actively pursuing her LCSW, further solidifying her commitment to professional growth, excellence in social work, and her ability to serve those within the substance use and mental health space. Her educational background and diverse professional experiences have equipped her with a comprehensive skill set and a deep understanding of social work principles to effect positive change.
